| In view of the continued growth of the number of motor vehicles in Tunisia and the ensuing huge quantities of used tires added to the pollution they generate, it has become necessary to consider the conversion of such wastes and their utilization as source of income. A technical-economic study on the implementation of a management system was carried out at the end of 2005. | |||
The quantities of used tires in 2005 are estimated at 25 000 tons and will exceed 2 500 000 units in 2025.
