To promote systems and programs of waste collection, recycling and conversion;
To help and assist municipalities and industries in the area of sustainable waste management;
To promote partnerships between all stakeholders, particularly between local communities, industry and the private sector;
To contribute to the consolidation of national expertise in the field of waste management;
To prepare and implement awareness programs on waste management;
To participate in the drafting of legislation and regulations on waste management;
To participate, within the context of international cooperation, in finding necessary financing sources for the implementation of programs and achievement of projects related to waste management. |
